Toni Kroos Retires From International Football

The 31-year old made his last appearance for Germany during their recent 2-0 last 16 defeat at the hands of England at Wembley.

Kroos made 106 caps for the German national team and played an integral role in the side that won the World Cup in 2014.

“I have played 106 times for Germany. There will not be another time,” Kroos wrote on Twitter.

“I had already made the decision to retire after this tournament for some time. It had been clear to me for a while that I will not be available for the World cup 2022 in Qatar.”

Kroos said he now want to focus fully on his goals for Real Madrid in the coming years as well as spending more time with his family.

In other news, former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has snubbed Manchester City and Bayern Munich to sign for PSG. Per a report from RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Ramos will sign a contract with Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days.
The former Real Madrid captain was heavily linked with a move to either Manchester City or Bayern Munich, but the 35-year-old legendary defender appears to have decided on a future in France.

According to reports, Ramos chose PSG because they offered him a 2-year deal that will ensure that would provide some stability and security as he brings his illustrious career to a close. The veteran defender even stated that money was not as big an issue as the length of the contract last week.

This will come as a huge boost to a PSG team that failed to replace the experienced Thiago Silva last season.

According to reports, PSG won the race for Ramos’ signature after Bayern Munich failed to come to terms with the player because of his huge wages.

Sergio Ramos is set to join Paris Saint-Germain in the next days, as Momo Bouhafsi reported! He’s expected to undergo his medical in the next few days as new PSG player. 🔵🔴 #PSG
PSG approached Sergio Ramos agent in January – after opening talks in April, they’ve been offering him a two-years contract as Sergio always wanted. 🇪🇸 Ramos will sign until June 2023 – now PSG are planning to announce Hakimi, Ramos and Donnarumma deals within 15 days.
